After a long time of having a very static site written in plain html and not changing I have upgraded the site to us Drupal 4.6. This version came out last week and I am very impressed with the changes since 4.5.2. It's working very well and there are several new features and modules.

One of the reasons for wanting to update the site to something else is that I wanted to modify the content and update it and also start off a blog here. I've been wanting to do that for some time now and the pure hassle of updating the html and then releasing it was just not worth the effort. This is why I went for the upgrade. Installation was very simple and straightforward and I copied over the content from the other site without problems. The next step is to start changing the content over the coming days.

I also wanted to kick off a blog entry here becuase I was starting one over at http://bernard.skibits.co.uk, which was becoming a mix of work and home related things and I wanted to try to keep them separate. Anyway we'll see how things go on here ov erhte coming months.
